![]() | Andrew David - The Blindness of Strangers | |
| Location | Philly | |
| Initial Impression | (before track 4) Hey, this guy could be really good with a little polishing... (After track 4) That is, if he leaves the recording up to someone else. | |
| Notable Lyric | "This record is a work of fiction. All songs, living or dead, are purely coincidental" - From the Liner Notes | |
| Factoid | The aforementioned notable quote seemed strangely prophetic as the recording quality went from homemade-but-good, to a sea of static, to unplayable by track 6. | |
| Serve With | Generic potato chips and Big K Soda. (So simple, but sooo tasty) | |
| Comments | To be fair, my lukewarm response to this CD is mostly due to the shoddy production quality. If somebody else mastered this for you, Andy, you need to kick his ass. The songs that did play showed a lot of potential; David's songwriting is clever and well thought out. I'd go see this guy live and pick up a CD, if he gets the technical bugs worked out. | |
