CommentsEscape Grace's debut disc tears recklessly down the fine line between half-decent garage metal and high voltage rock art. While I usually turn a deaf ear to this brand of hardcore rock, I couldn't help but throw this disc in the player again and again, as the raw energy that poured out of the speakers was just the rocket fuel I needed to make it through night after night of a pre-holiday work crunch. Close inspection reveals a handful of annoying flaws, such as choppy song structure and the obnoxious lack of variety in the guitar parts. Also, the suggested retail price ($8.00) seems a little stiff for 17 minutes of songs. Still, Escape Grace make great background noise for your adrenaline fix of choice.
