![]() | Lead - Enemies of the Gods, Gods to the People | |
| Location | Not sure, so I'll guess Appleton, WI. | |
| Initial Impression | I've seen this band live numerous times. My reaction immediately after putting the disc in was that they're trying too hard to sound badass. | |
| Notable Lyric | "Burn the sin from my fingers, remove the ash from my hands," from "Sphere." | |
| Factoid | Vocalist Larry Zarling did the sci-fi artwork on the album liner. | |
| Serve With | For starters, how about a finished website? | |
| Comments | The band is hard rock, though I don't know quite if they could make any of the metal sub-genres; 'straight metal' works. They've gruffed their sound up a bit for this album; unfortunately most of their songs tend to sound the same. There are some interesting guitar parts on songs such as "Day By Day" and "Sphere," and though they've attempted some vocal techniques, Larry still sounds flat. Lead are still a better band live than recorded, in my opinion. | |
