Photo Unavailable | Freshwater Collins - Lean Back | |
| Location | Milwaukee, Wisconsin | |
| Initial Impression | Lean Back is damn good, solid, kick ass, classic-sounding rock-n-roll.. | |
| Notable Lyric | "When I sit and think about all the energy I wasted keeping you around; It’s like a closed book I don’t want to open and I’ll lay it on the ground," from "Water." | |
| Factoid | The band won a Lucky Strike Band to Band Combat Competition, which in turn put their music on a nationally distributed compilation album. | |
| Serve With | Some East Coast tour dates. These boys hail from Wisconsin, and draw large crowds at regional venues, but seriously – I'd like to see some shows a little closer – say, Virginia, North Carolina, DC – share the Freshwater Collins experience, fellas. | |
| Comments | This band is good. This is solid, hard, southern rock. Shit this good doesn't happen often. Chris Vos' voice is powerful, and what initially drags you into their music – it’s the incredible talent of all four members that oozes from the CD player through your body that keeps you coming back for more. I can't even fathom what a live show must be like. Astounding. | |
