![]() | Rock Kills Kid - Rock Kills Kid (EP) | |
| Location | So Cal | |
| Initial Impression | The tongue-in-cheekyness of the band title alone had me smiling. | |
| Notable Lyric | "I speak to you in my head every night..." - "Again" | |
| Factoid | Rumor has it this band has been together for less than a year. They hide it well! | |
| Serve With | A middle finger to the PMRCA. | |
| Comments | Immediately brought to mind is the Blink 182 neo-pop/punk movement. (After all, isn't EVERYONE trying to sound like that these days?) But once you scratch the surface you'll realize that the vocals kick the sorry behinds of any of those new "punk" bands. Their lyrics have a lot more depth, their sound is much more pure while they maneuver from gutsy rock to melodic pop and back again in seemless fashion. They're powerful. They're energetic. They're difficult to label, but easy to listen to! | |
