| Location | Los Angeles, California | |
| Initial Impression | When did the Crash Test Dummies decide to try their hand at industrial redneck tunes? | |
| Notable Lyric | "She had black fishnet stockings on up to her rear / That’s what made him decide to buy her a beer" from “Each Others Dreams.” By the way, these guys need to learn some basic punctuation rules. | |
| Factoid | Lead singer - “Uncle Dale” | |
| Serve With | Miller Highlife and pork rinds. | |
| Comments | Well, the lead singer is named “Uncle Dale,” first of all. And it just gets worse from there. These six songs are seemingly talk-sung from the lobby of an abandoned truck stop somewhere south of Leonard Cohen’s goth nightclub. The clichés fly as fast as a stream of tobacco juice. And to top it all off, the Rubatos tend to throw in saloon-inspired piano ditties, avant twanged mashes, and They Might Be Giants riffs into the corked jug mix. But on the plus side, the CD only contains six songs. | |
