Feed - FeedJanuary 2003
Feed has great guitar riffs and minimal machine born sounds (personally, I find this quite refreshing). Back to the basics, it is just a great rock record
that has some damn amusing lyrics. One of my favorite lines from the album comes from the song "Dream Job For A Good Girl": "Maybe some day she'll get a good job selling shoes to amputees." Many of the songs seem to be in the style of Elvis Costello with a twist. "Rabbit", to me, sounds like it is a perfect mixture of Costello, Ben Kweller, and the Foo Fighters.
All in all, I would highly recommend this record to alternative rock fans. Feed offers tremendous musical talent and amazing vocals wrapped nicely into one
package. Completely unpretentious and devoid of modern rock synthesizers, it is a simple record that captures the spirit of indie rock.
