CommentsIt's always interesting to hear what the bassist has to say. Former bassist of Burlap to Cashmere and two-time ASCAP award winner, John Degrazio, provides rich lyrics above a soundscape of carefully organized instrumentals. He's on a quest for truth amidst the emptiness and confusion of the postmodern world, and he raises some very relevant philosophical questions. The first track, "Under the Weather," clearly is the most brilliant of them all, but piano and stringed instruments (Track four and 12) increase the depth of this album. What results is a clear, honest voice (reminiscent of Rob Dickinson of Catherine Wheel), a subdued downbeat, and strong instrumentals: a great soundtrack for putting everything into perspective.
