Shadowkeep - A Chaos Theory
LocationAcross the Big Pond (England)
Initial ImpressionCool cover. Typical "shadow-" prefixed metal name, though.
Notable Lyric"Am I the reaper of the light or a phantom in your dream
I plant the seeds into the ground but the harvest is your deed
Am I an angel of the night or the demon in your dream
I bring you doubt and counterfacts, I am a part of the machine." - "Beware The Signs"
FactoidFormer vocalist Rogue M. Vox, who left the band in November, has "hijacked" the Shadowkeep website (www.shadowkeep.co.uk/) in protest of the record company not paying royalties on time.
Serve WithChris Cole's fake British accent from "Rock Star," simply because it cracked me up.
Comments "Progressive power metal" eh? It's not bad; this is definitely headbanging metal. This kind of music hasn't been popular in the States in many years, but I know Europe keeps the metal flame burning. The music is well-played and the vocals are nice and clear for someone who sounds like English, perhaps, is a second language. The overall effect, though, is a bit too 'dramatic' for my personal taste. If you're a fan of Crimson Glory and Queensryche, give these guys (and girl) a listen.
