Gigi Dover – Gigi |
| Location | South of the Mason Dixon Line |
| Initial Impression | This is more country than it is described as. But its good country (this coming from a true rock fan). |
| Notable Lyric | "You won't see any wrinkles or lines around her eyes. They'll be no beauty complications and no wiggle in her thighs. She is such a perfect picture and it's always understood baby you're the one who's talking. She is just a piece of wood. Some girls they're just too sassy, you like your ladies simple, why don't you carve one out". -- "Wooden Headed Doll" |
| Factoid | Gigi used to be in a band called "Rank Outsiders" who hold two critically acclaimed CDs. |
| Serve With | Red cowboy boots, tattered jeans and a tank top. |
| Comments | Gigi has a really great bluesy soulful voice that makes you feel it in the pit of your belly. The music displays that same deepness and an added touch of funkiness that gives it that cross over feel. You can picture her jamming out with Reba or the Judds while a rowdy barroom crowd respectfully quiets at her presence. Admittedly, being a fairly non-country fan, it took more than one spin for me to appreciate it. With an open mind you'll find a very talented and gusty woman with a lot to say. So pay attention, and expect to see her around! |
