![]() | Anomy - Disquietude | |
| Location | Colorado | |
| Initial Impression | "Damn, nice lighter – now if I only had some SMOKE." (Cristy who just had her broken molar fixed today and is in some pain) | |
| Notable Lyric | "Through a mask I see her face, her eyes stare blankly into space," from "Mountains of Madagascar." | |
| Factoid | The band members are business owners, a preschool teacher, a professional skater, a publisher, a vegetarian, and a chemist. (There are only three of them in the band, so you figure out who is who!) | |
| Serve With | Prozac, perhaps – or a warning label for the pre-school teacher. | |
| Comments | Kimmie initially wanted us to ship this CD off to hardcore Jaimie, because quite frankly, neither of us are fans of that scary ass screamy, growly vocal thing so prevalent in today's metal bands. Cristy wasn't willing to give up so easily, probably because she once was told that Brent Boyd respected women so much that he wouldn't attend strip clubs (not that the photo would give a clue to this tidbit). Anomy is good old-school metal, full-flavored for a three-piece, with aggressive grooves. Dark lyrics that sometimes border on goth, this band goes well with Type O Negative's newest offering. | |
