Various Artists - Bewitched Soundtrack |
| Location | Here and Beyond |
| Initial Impression | Sometimes it’s good to be Editor. |
| Notable Lyric | "Ding! Dong! The Witch is Dead!" - Ella |
| Factoid | The movie is based on the TV show "Bewitched"...Isn't that interesting enough? |
| Serve With | Season One of “Charmed”, Anne Rice’s “The Witching Hour”, Practical Magic, and “Witches of Eastwick”. |
| Comments | This soundtrack reads as if someone decided to create a mix CD with "witches" and "magic" as the theme. Classics by Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald and Steve Lawrence, karaoke favorite Rupert Holmes (The Pina Colada song), hits by The Police, Natalie Cole, Talking Heads and R.E.M., and newcomers Persephone's Bees and The Actual make for a well-rounded musical jaunt. The cover of "Witchy Woman" by Kristin Chenoweth is so great, it almost makes me jealous. While the film might fall below audience expectations, the soundtrack is a keeper. |
