| Factoid | Last Christmas, the boys had a tune entitled "Merry, Merry Frickin Christmas", a Boston Red Sox anthem.....Now seriously, they're from OHIO and they're writing songs about the Boston Red Sox?!? Not only is that grounds for excommunication, Cristy just may kick their asses herself. |

| Comments | Their music, dubbed by the band as "Snot Rock" (which we found rather amusing), can be called power pop - we prefer the terms fun and smart; and it makes us wanna dance around naked in the kiddie pool. Their self-deprecating lyrics are reminiscent of American Hi-Fi, Fountains of Wayne, and a host of other TRL fixtures. How can you go wrong with titles like "Party Like a Rockstar" and "Naked in My Bed", plus the on-point parody of the music business in "Cut Number 1"? While we were disappointed to discover they were touring the South during Kimmie's visit, we did glimpse their video playing in a local club where some of our friends were performing. We've decided that if they can hook us up with Rick Springfield, we'll forgive them for their baseball loyalty gaff. Note: Kimmie has made this CD part of her daily work-out regime and both of the Sirens have been caught blaring it out their automobiles on numerous occasions. |
