| Comments | Envelope kicks out this bossa nova, worldly, pop rock fusion comparable to throw back Buddy Holly for new-age millennium (minus the Weezer reference). Hopping beats suit entertaining lyrics, nothing incredibly prolific, but pronounced riffs make their sound unique where you would normally hear typical pop hooks. The album’s surprise is when blues chords are used in few tracks fused with psychedelic melody, and (get this) Jazz, to create a signature texture for the band's sound. The best part- it doesn’t sound like too much, meaning the listener can still distinguish the various sounds if they want to. This is the sort of album that can be listened to for years without raking your nerves- the music is good and should be listened to. | |
