A Quickie with Lynam's Dee Dee

Cristy: Right...okay well, we have these little things, they’re called Quickies. They’re like these five questions we ask everybody. You ready for this?
Dee Dee: (snorts) Yeah.

Cristy: What's your definition of 'happiness'?
  • Dee Dee: Um, a six pack.

    Cristy: What’s your guilty pleasure?
  • Dee Dee: Ooohh, I don’t have a guilty pleasure. I don’t think..
    Cristy: Everybody does.
Dee Dee: My jeep. My jeep is my guilty pleasure.
Cristy: Is it like Jeep Jeep?
Dee Dee: Yeah a Jeep Jeep, yeah. It’s an 84 CK7.
(Cristy’s note: I’m not sure which is scarier, that I said “jeep jeep” or that he knew what I meant!)

Cristy: Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
  • Dee Dee: That guy who plays Kelso in "That 70's Show."
    Cristy: Ashton Kutcher.
Dee Dee: Yeah he’d play me. He’d have to dye his hair though.

Cristy: Tell me about your first kiss.
  • Dee Dee: Well, I just walked on the bus 30 minutes ago and Jacob kissed me, so that was my first kiss.
Cristy: I kinda find that hard to believe.
Dee Dee: From a guy or a girl?
    Cristy: In general.
Dee Dee: Oh! Well that was my first kiss from a guy....um....my first kiss, you know I really don’t remember it. I think I was like six or seven, it was my sister.
    Cristy: Such a smart ass.
(major vocal grief in the background)
Dee Dee: I’m six or seven, that’s my answer, I’m sticking to it.

Cristy: Okay, that's fine!.......Alright, well pass me off on somebody else.
Dee Dee: It was very nice talking to you. Thank you so much for everything.
Cristy: Not a problem.
Dee Dee: And do - make a road trip down here, hang out.
Cristy: I’m tellin ya, I do. I read your message boards occassionally and I see how dedicted everybody is, and god, you play your butts off, you play all the time.
Dee Dee: We got to. You’re only on this planet for a short time so you gotta make the most of it.
Cristy: If that’s what you love to do, yeah.
Dee Dee: We’re doing what we love and we all get along really well. It’s really sickening. You hang out with us, it’s just really syrupy and everything. It’s really sweet. We just have a great time together. We don't even have to be playing music, we still hang out together.
