| Comments | On their second EP, Modulator bring us three tracks of fun and quirky kinda-'80's new wave-influenced, female-fronted, synth-roboto-pop/rock with a bit of a computer bent ("I was never programmed to be your girl" goes one line from the opener "Major Malfunction", "You're So Analog" is the title of the second track, etc.). Overall, pretty infectious stuff here with lovely vocals from Julie Zamora that at times almost border on mechanical (if that makes sense...). Basically, her vocals add to the computerized, peculiar style and charming nature of the band's sound. | |
