Honestly - Ghosts of a Brilliant Past |
| Location | Atlanta, GA |
| Initial Impression | I knew from the first few notes that I was going to dig this CD. I've been lucky lately, the last three CDs (this included) have been pretty darn good. I keep waiting for the piece of shit that is sure to come, but this wasn't it. Yeah for me! |
| Notable Lyric | "I keep falling for you. You're a habit. I'm an addict. Why can't I let you go? " – "Beautiful Release" |
| Factoid | Since September 2003, the band performed over 275 shows and sold more than 5000 albums. |
| Serve With | A major-label record deal… Better yet, let them do it all themselves so they can reap the rewards without further lining the exec's pockets! Damn the man! |
| Comments | It's always a good sign when I'm sitting at my computer, penning a review and I can't seem to keep my legs still. The credit isn't given to the rather large coffee I've just consumed, but to Honestly's Ghost of a Brilliant Past. Guitar-driven rock which produces backside wiggles, head bobs, rocker pouts, and the occasional ballad sways. (Where the hell is my lighter?) This band WILL be on the radio. Catch them now so you can say you knew them when... |
