A Quickie with Warren Cooke of Digger
What's your definition of 'happiness'?
- Ooh, that's a good one. I mean the way I look at it at this point, the two most important things to me right now are my family and my band. So I would be happy as long as my family's happy and as long as my band's having fun on tour. That's what would make me happy as long as I can call home and my wife's like, 'Everything's ok,' and as long as we're playing shows. We're just happy to be on the road. That's happiness to me.
What's your guilty pleasure?
[Sinisterly] Guilty pleasure. Like something I like to do that's not a good thing basically? Hmm…I definitely poke a lot of smot. That's just me though; I'm not speaking for all of Digger.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
Mmm…that's a good one. Hmm, like if I had a biography movie? Hmm, I don't know, probably Fred Durst because I get a lot of that. A lot of people come up to me and I've even signed autographs for that guy before and I really hate that. I mean he'd probably love to make money off me. [Laughter] So probably Fred Durst.
Tell us about your first kiss.
My first kiss? Wow, I was in I think it was like sixth grade. I was in like a co-ed summer camp and I remember "Stairway to Heaven" playing, so I was like slow dancing with the girl and I slipped her the tongue, so yeah. [Laughter]
Who is your favorite band no one has heard of?
Definitely Stole Your Woman, Anadivine, and that's probably it. Those two bands, I think they're really up-and-coming. You're going to hear a lot about them in the future.
