| Comments | Pound your fist in the air! Raise those devil horns. It's classic metal dudes! Wait, does the press kit really say it's "Modern Rock"? I'm not getting that at all. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, just a little misleading is all. The vocals could never be deemed as "modern" and the music is far too, what's the word... theatrical? Not that you should expect to hear Maiden or Dio, but you get the point. The band has released five studio albums through the years 1977 and 1993, which is more in line with the sound emanating from my speakers. The song content itself pokes fun at rock stars, scammin' cash off your chick, relationship strife, pimped out cars, and love/lust??? And I suppose if that doesn’t whet your rock appetite, the liner notes are pretty comical. Especially the part about Godovitz' four-year old neighbor trying to sell him juice boxes for $5.00 a pop! | |
