LocationAll Over.
Initial ImpressionIt's Punk Goes Acoustic, featuring plenty of emo/screamo bands - pretty self-explanatory, I'd say.
Notable Lyric"Anything for you is what you told me the day I sat there with you/Did we understand that words were not enough?/You said to me that this would last forever - "Time to Talk" by Open Hand
FactoidThird in a series - the two prior albums were Punk Goes Metal and Punk Goes Pop. A bonus disc comes with the compilation for a limited time, which features cuts from both Fearless and Victory bands.

CommentsThis is one for the emo crowd. No, but seriously, if you have any affinity for well-composed affecting, acoustic songs, this is a pretty solid compilation. Featuring 20 bands, there are plenty of gems - Open Hand's gentle "Time to Talk", Thursday's powerful "A Hole in the World", Thrice's heart-rending "Trust", and Grade's "Gathering Darkness". However, there are some painful ones as well, including Taking Back Sunday's "Cute Without the E (Cut from the Team)" and From Autumn To Ashes' "Chloroform Perfume". Many songs are minimal with only an acoustic guitar accompanying the emotional vocals (Yellowcard's upbeat and poppy "Firewater" is an exception), and prove that the bands have talent, showcasing beautiful, passionate melodies more often than not.
