Serve WithA Dilbert doll and one of those good nights at the university when you actually like the band you’ve gone to see.
CommentsIt all starts out with an instrumental introduction followed by a song with a general Christian sound to it, a style that continues to drift in and out throughout the album without being overly intrusive. The second track rolls along easily, backed by steady guitars and good melody. The clarity of Matthew’s vocals brings you into the song. I think the whole CD is kind of a coming-of-age record with a radio friendly sound, and may be lacking some depth to it that a future album of theirs could contain but undoubtedly will greet many ears with a positive response, since the music is very tangible. One of my favourite tracks is Track 4 (Office Suite, Part I), which is entirely spoken and very humorous. Track 7 (Office Suite, Part II) is another winner, about the familiar woes of the young professional. There’s a good guitar solo and meltdown on Track 3. They keep this track interesting.
